In Elgsnes you can find a lot of wild birds and animals. The biggest one among the birds is the white-tailed eagle, with a wingspan up to 240 cm or 95 inches, and the biggest among the forest animals is the elk with a weigh up to 900 kilos or 2.000 pounds. But even this is not much compared to some of the marine mammals in the sea around Elgsnes. The biggest of them all is the humpback whale that can grow up to 19 meters long with a weight of about 40.000 kilos or 90.000 pounds.
