Beach activities

On sunny summer days, the sandy beach in the horseshoe shaped bay is popular for people from Harstad and other places. They are sunbathing and grilling, and the children are enjoying bathing in the sea. Even though the bay is open to the north, the sea temperature can be surprisingly high near the shore. Especially when the sun is heating up the sand and the tide is getting up through the day, the temperature can be quite comfortable.
